A visit to the city can either be as a “long weekend” destination, or as part of a two centre holiday – beginning with a 4 night stay in Istanbul, before taking a domestic flight to the Turquoise Coast of the country, and staying in Kalkan for a relaxing break after the hustle and bustle of a sightseeing stay in Istanbul.
At Southern Turkey we can offer you both of these holiday options – tailored to suit your requirements and dates. So if you want to spend just 2 days or even a week in the city, we can arrange this for you … and if you want to combine a visit to Istanbul with a stay somewhere else in Turkey, we too can arrange this for you.
This itinerary is designed for a 4 night stay in the city … but your visit to Istanbul can incorporate much more if you want it to.
- Day 1
Flight from the UK to Istanbul arranged by you. On arrival at Istanbul airport you will be taken by private transfer to your accommodation. After checking in the rest of your day is at leisure.
- Day 2
In order to get a feel for this diverse city, today you will be booked on a full day tour of the Old City. There are so many sights in this trip it would be difficult to list them all, but some of the highlights are the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Tokapi Palace and the Covered Bazaar. Again lunch and all the guide/entrance fees are included in the price of the tour.
After the tour finishes you will be taken back to your hotel, where the rest of the day and evening are at your leisure.
- Day 3
The whole of the day is at your leisure to explore this wonderful city. You could opt to have an additional excursion … perhaps a day cruise along the Bosphorus, a boat trip to visit Princes Island, a walking tour of another area of the city or spend the day wandering the city … and then in the evening go to a Turkish night, complete with dancing, music and wonderful Turkish cuisine and hospitality.
- Day 4
The whole of the day is at your leisure to explore this wonderful city. Maybe today you could opt to have a Turkish bath or the gourmet evening at one of the city’s thousands of restaurants.
- Day 5
After breakfast you will need to check out, prior to your return transfer to Istanbul airport and your flight back to the UK.
